What is Legacy Backup?
Legacy Backup products allow files and folders from your local computer to be backed up automatically off-site to the cloud. This protects your files from ransomware, accidental deletion, file corruption or system crash. Legacy Backup will allow you to restore your data back to your device in the event of loss from most scenarios. This type of backup is suitable for most home users and personal backup needs. Legacy Backup does NOT have the ability to restore programs, OS configurations or system settings . So, for example, if your computer were to die, you would be able to restore your DATA back to a new computer, but you will still need to reinstall all of your programs/software and reconfigure all of your settings and any personalization you had on your old computer. Cloud Continuity (disaster recovery) products offer the ability to do everything that Legacy Backup does, but also has the ability to restore EVERYTHING as it was onto a new computer in the event of failure. In other words, it will put back all of your data, programs/software and OS configurations and the personalizations that you had on your previous device.
